  (BEIJING, April 11) -- The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) launched a workshop on Wednesday to train the working team dealing with the Games-time volunteers.

  Over 110 team members from the venue working staff are attending the four-day training to enhance the participants' knowledge about the Olympic Games in general, the Beijing Olympics in particular, the venue operation and the guide and service for the spectators. After finishing the training, the team members will join the venue operation teams or work for the BOCOG Volunteer Department.

  The Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in August 2008 will need 100,000 Games-time volunteers. More than 450,000 applicants have already registered.
